Roasted Chickpeas


Protein is really important for hormone balance as adding protein to meals and snacks can help stabilise blood sugar levels and promote satiety. This recipe for roasted chickpeas is quick and easy and transforms a can of chickpeas into a tasty, crunchy, salty snack

Gluten free & dairy free


1 can of chickpeas drained

1 tbsp olive oil

Some salt

Good sprinkling of smoked paprika or other herbs or spices

1. Preheat the oven to 200c


2. Rinse and drain the chickpeas, allow to dry on some paper towels


3. Place in a bowl and mix with the olive oil, a good sprinkling of salt and some smoked paprika, stir until thoroughly coated

4. Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on a baking try and roast in the oven for around 30 minutes, give the chickpeas a shake a few times during cooking

5. The chickpeas are ready when they are slightly darkened and crisp, allow to cool slightly before enjoying
