Overnight Oats

oats-3272113_1920.jpg

This healthy breakfast is ideal if you're short on time in the mornings. The minimal preparation is done the night before so in the morning all you have to do is remove from the fridge and enjoy and if you tend to have your breakfast at work this works well as it's easily transportable.

This recipe is great for balancing your hormones as it's high in protein from the nut butter, milk and yogurt. It's also a good source of healthy fats from the nut butter and chia seeds. The berries are high in antioxidants, important for supporting the immune system and for boosting fertility.

Ingredients

1/4 cup whole rolled oats
1/3 cup milk (or milk alternative of your choice)
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 banana, finely diced
1 tablespoon peanut, almond or cashew nut butter
1 teaspoon chia seeds
Cinnamon or ground ginger to taste
Fresh blueberries, raspberries or other berries (you can also use defrost berries from the freezer)

1. Add all ingredients except berries to a Mason jar and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate overnight; in the morning, top with fresh or defrosted blueberries, raspberries or other berries and enjoy.
